Benevolent Trust

Background

The Interflora Benevolent Trust was established in May 1992 with the purpose of providing relief to Interflora members who were in conditions of need, hardship, or distress.

 

The beginnings of the trust can be found in the individual donations from members at Interflora conferences and gatherings of the past and today, it is now funded entirely by Interflora British Unit.

 

The trustees are representatives of existing or past Interflora members together with the office holder of Interflora President.

Objective of the Trust

The objective of the trust is to provide relief to Interflora members who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.

Who is it for

The trust is available to;

Members;

- of Interflora
- partners or former partners of members where membership was / is a partnership
- directors or former directors of members where membership was a limited company
- employees or former employees of the above
- spouse, widow or widower of the above
child of the above

What is it for: 

Examples where applicants have benefitted from relief include;

- Loans where an insurance claim is waiting to be settled for shop flood claim
- Loans where an insurance claim is waiting to be settled for a shop fire
- Grant to re-establish businesses following shop flooding or fire
- The purchase of a wheelchair for a former member
- The provision of a stair lift for an incapacitated former member

How do you make an application: 

Applications to the trust can be made at any time by completing the Benevolent Trust application form here. If using Acrobat Reader to fill in the form you can press the “Save“ button on the form and send the digital file to the email shown on the form. The form can also be printed off and filled in by hand and then scanned or photographed before being returned digitally to the email address shown on the form.
